Dale Cooper is the founder of Broadleaf Capital International and has held senior management responsibility in large organisations as well as developing his own business.   His experience spans:

  • statistical and operations research;
  • senior management roles in banking and stockbroking; and,
  • consulting in a wide range of sectors in Europe, the USA, Asia and New Zealand as well as Australia.

Stephen Grey has worked in the public sector and private sector as a scientist, analyst and consultant. He spent twelve years in the communications and IT sector working on very large bids and projects and the management and information systems required to support them. His experience encompasses:

  • mathematical modelling and experimental work;
  • analysis and modelling of military sonar and related systems;
  • major project bid preparation;
  • risk management process development and implementation, including training development and delivery;
  • consulting on  IT, defence, mining, construction and public service operations in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Geoffrey Raymond has extensive knowledge of chemical and industrial plant operations and management from his career prior to joining Broadleaf in 1996.  His background includes:

  • management of hazardous industrial installations including control and safety systems for such plants;
  • establishing and managing an in-house risk management team in major resources company;
  • risk assessment of large engineering capital investments;
  • consulting on engineering, mineral processing, manufacturing operations, construction and organisational risk in Australia, New Zealand, South America and Europe.

Phil Walker had a long career in the public service, culminating in responsibility for very large defence procurements, prior to joining Broadleaf in 1999.  He has specialist capabilities, founded in direct experience, of:

  • complex procurements;
  • contract negotiation and management;
  • project management;
  • line management of large teams; and,
  • working with public and private sector organisations in Australia, the USA and Europe.

Sam Beckett holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in veterinary science and a PhD in import risk analysis.  He joined Broadleaf in 2002.  His specialist capabilities include:

  • import and food safety risk analysis;
  • veterinary epidemiology; and,
  • training and education, having provided lectures and tutorials in epidemiology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and short course training modules on risk analysis to a range of government policy analysts.

Pauline Bosnich is a  specialist in safety and hazard analysis and safety management systems.  She has particular experience of:

  • land use safety planning;
  • hazardous chemical processing and storage;
  • technical risk assessments;
  • safety-related due diligence practices; and,
  • safety management planning.

Dennis Goodwin is a member of the Standards Australia Committee that developed the Australia/New Zealand Standard for Risk Management AS/NZS 4360, and is an editor of the Standards publications 'Guidelines for managing risk in the Australian and New Zealand public sector' and “Guidelines for managing risk in outsourcing”.  His 34-year career in the Department of Defence has provided him with direct experience and skills in:

  • tender and contract development, tender evaluation and contract negotiation;
  • procurement, financial management and contract management;
  • business management of major capital equipment projects; and
  • the development and implementation of major changes in organisational structures, processes and procedures.
