About the Workshop

Evolving paradigms in business are throwing new challenges to management in all organisations, not only to maintain market share but also to increase them. Managements have been swamped with buzzwords like TQM, ISO 9000, Business Process Re-Engineering, Benchmarking, E-Commerce, Enterprise Resource Planning, Corporate Governance, etc. At the same time, competition has increased, multinational presence, has also gone up, customer expectations have risen, prices are constantly under pressure, reduction of non value added services or processes are attempted. In such an environment, Internal Auditor has to make efforts to redefine his role in the organisation so as to meet management expectations. The Internal Auditor has to imbibe new tools and techniques not just from the audit field but also from other disciplines like Human Resource Management, Information Technology and Quality.

The workshop seeks to bring on a single platform a wide range of new concepts presented by knowledgeable practicing Internal Auditors who have implemented these in their workplaces and succeeded in meeting the changing expectations of the management.
